Most recently he was based in Perth, Western Australia as the chief executive for Barminco, a mechanised hard-rock under- ground mining company. While at Barminco, stokes was also chair- man of the Egyptian and Indian businesses as well as the African JV with AsX-listed company Aus- drill Pty Ltd. stokes is based in Melbourne. he holds a MBA from Bond Uni- versity, Queensland and recently attended an Advanced Manage- ment Program at harvard Busi- ness school. # Anette rey has joined Geodis as Group communications direc- tor. Previously she was with biophar- ma company Bristol-Myers squibb where she held the position of vice president, Public Affairs and Communications. A French-Ger- man bi-national, Rey started her career at the Luxembourg and London offices of RTL Group, prior to joining Ubisoft in 2003 as vice president, Global Commu- nications. In 2011 she joined Air Liquide, where she served as vice president external communica- tions until 2014 managing cor- porate communications for the global industrial branch. Rey holds a PhD in Political sci- ence from the Albert-Ludwigs-Uni- versity in Freiburg, Germany, as well as Masters and Post-Graduate degrees from sciences-Po, Paris. # terry unrein has joined seko Logistics in the new role of chief commercial officer, Americas, responsible for sales and reve- nue growth and Air and Ocean Product strategy in the Americas region. his appointment represents a return to seko, where he spent over two years as vice president Global sales before joining Crane Worldwide Logistics in March 2015 as regional vice president, Pacific West. In his new role he is based at the company’s global headquarters in Chicago, reporting directly to James Gagne, president of seko Logistics. # British all-cargo carrier Car- goLogicAir has confirmed the appointment of David Kerr as the airline’s new chief executive with effect from 01 January 2018. Kerr has more than 20 years of experience in the airline sector, holding senior roles in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. his career path has been in varied industries including FMCG, bank- ing and travel. his first job in the aviation industry was with Ameri- can Airlines and most recently he was with Etihad Aviation Group. In his new role at CargoLogic- Air, he will be responsible for the successful implementation of the airline’s strategic development plans, orchestrating the growth of its freighter fleet and its network, with the focus on specialised logistics solutions for different industries. # Etihad Cargo has named Jus- tin Carr as vice president Cargo Commercial. Carr, who has more than two decades of logistics industry experience, joins the Abu Dha- bi-based carrier from DhL, where he was head of MNC Business Development for the Middle East and Africa region. In his new role, he is responsi- ble for the business’s commercial proposition including global sales, key accounts, product teams and Etihad Cargo’s freighter plat- forms. # Doha-based Qatar Cargo head uli ogiermann will step down in December after five years in the role. It is understood he is returning to Europe. Under his leadership, QatarAir has become a top five airfreight operation. # Japan Post has approved the appointment of former KPMG Australia chief executive geoff Wilson to the Toll holdings Board. Wilson will also become chair- man of Toll’s audit committee. The Toll board now comprises Mullen, Michael Byrne, Wilson and Japan Post executives Kunio Yokoyama, Tomohiro Yonezawa, Taneki Ono, Noboru Ichikura and Norio Wakasa.
