Radios were adjusted to allow for all 42 Climbers to listen to commentary from the lead Mandarin-speaking Climb Leader. Climbers departed at 15 minute intervals utilising all three routes of BridgeClimb’s products: BridgeClimb, BridgeClimb Express and BridgeClimb Sampler. To ensure a seamless preparation process, further Chinese-language assets were created, including a prepa- ration video played for every group as they prepared to climb from the Visitor Centre Cinema. The Cinema seats 42 people, the equivalent of a bus load of delegates. Objectives and results The objective was to deliver a premi- um product with unfaltering customer service to the largest group ever seen on the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and to strengthen our reputation in the key target market of China. This objective was met as climber feedback from Nu Skin delegates was that they had ‘cherished’ their experi- ence, with some brought to tears and others vowing to work harder for more chances to travel with the company. When presented with the record breaking trophy by BridgeClimb founder and chairman Paul Cave, Nu Skin Cceo Andrew Fan noted their delight in making history with the record breaking climb of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. All were grateful to have been select- ed for such a grand company rewards trip and took stories and lifetime memo- ries back home to China to share. BridgeClimb played a critical part in Sydney being selected by Nu Skin as the destination for the incentive trip which overall was expected to create a busi- ness opportunity of near USD$15 million for Sydney. Client comments Connie from Hong Kong, said before the Climb: I am feeling extremely proud and grateful to have had the opportunity to join such a grandiose trip to Sydney with the company. I also look forward to climb the Harbour Bridge tomorrow. This is not something that I would do in my daily life. Therefore I’m very grateful to my company, which has arranged all these impressive events for us. Vensen from Taiwan said after the climb: This is my first visit to Sydney. I’m very happy, because this is my dream destination. Climbing the Harbour Bridge was a great challenge and an awesome experience. There were a lot of us climbing the bridge at the same time, it was a chance for everyone to overcome their fear. A Chinese delegate from Shanghai said after the climb: Yesterday, when I went home after climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, I couldn’t fall asleep. I was so touched by it that I had tears in my eyes. I feel like I haven’t worked hard enough. In the 1.5 years since I’ve joined NuSkin, if I’ve worked harder, I would have had the chance to travel to more countries. The event from last night made me realise the importance of having an in- ternational perspective. NuSkin is truly an incredible company.
