China will become a standalone region for DHL Express, with Wu Dongming remaining at the helm as the chief executive of China. both Lee and Wu have joined the DHL Express global management board. As former managing director of DHL Express Hong Kong and macau and executive vice president of commercial, Asia Pacific, Lee was responsible for doubling revenue in the two countries between 2009 and 2012. A member of the DHL Express Asia Pacific manage- ment board, Lee was also responsible for driving the development of DHL’s two most strategic hubs in the region — Singapore and Hong Kong — which handle over 20 per cent of the compa- ny’s express shipment volume. As chief executive of Asia Pacific, Lee’s focus will be on driving further operational efficiencies and service innovations, particularly through greater investment in training and technology. based in Hong Kong , he will be respon- sible for a region that includes Hong Kong , India , Japan , Korea, Oceania, South Asia, South East Asia and Taiwan . # Four managers from the GAC Group start 2016 with new roles. Peter Öster- man moves to his native Sweden to take on the new role of commercial manager – Shipping for Denmark, Finland and Sweden combined. He is replaced as managing director of GAC Global Hub Services by ronald Lichte- necker who relocates to Dubai for his new role. Lichtenecker was previously managing director of GAC Singapore. Henrik Althen takes over his former role in Singapore, after serving as managing director of GAC Kuwait. He is replaced by Filip björklund, previously group busi- ness controller. # European cargo carrier Cargolux has appointed Gerard Ter bruggen its new regional director west and north Europe, covering benelux, the uK, Scandinavia and baltic States. He joins Cargolux from Qatar Airways, where he was cargo manager north and western Europe. Previously, he has worked for marti- nair, Pan American World Airways, Drag- onair Cargo and Cargo b Airlines. # Kwang-Soo Lee (left) has joined The International Air Cargo Association (TIA- CA) board of directors. Lee is vice president marketing and member of the board of directors at Seoul-Incheon International Airport, South Korea’s largest airport and the fourth busiest in Asia in terms of cargo traffic. He takes over from Avi Cohen, who will become chairman of the board. # uSA-based Hawaiian Airlines has appoint- ed Jon Snook its chief operations officer, firming up the temporary apointment made in October. Snook oversees flight operations, in-flight services, customer service, maintenance and engineering and operations analytics. He has 29 years of commercial and operational experience in airline, cargo, trucking, tour operating and ground handling industries and prior to joining Hawaiian, was senior vice president – customer service at American Airlines. # Former Nokia and microsoft logistics manager Fredrik Wildtgrube has joined Fin- land’s Finnair Cargo as head of global sales on January 11. He has also worked for Waco Logistics (World Air Cargo Organisation) and rH Freight. # Andrew Crawley, currently british Airways chief commercial officer, is to become chief executive of IAG Cargo from January 2016. He will report to IAG chief executive Willie Walsh and become a member of the Group’s management committee. Crawley will replace Steve Gunning, who is leaving IAG Cargo in January to become british Airways’ chief financial officer, as announced in November. Adam Daniels will become british Airways’ acting chief commercial officer. He is cur- rently the airline’s head of global revenue. Lynne Embleton, british Airways director of strategy and managing director Gatwick, will replace Andrew Crawley on the british Airways board.
