Yogesh is a qualified chartered ac- countant and a certified public account- ant (USA). He has completed a business leadership program from the Duke Uni- versity (USA). He is a law graduate from Mumbai University and has also complet- ed a bachelor of commerce degree from the same university. He is also an associ- ate member of the Insurance Institute of India, specialising in marine insurance and is a certified ISO 9001 auditor. He will continue to report to Michael Duck, executive vice president of UBM Asia. # Australia’s Queensland Airports Limited (QAL), has promoted Marion Charlton to chief operating officer of Gold Coast airport. Her appointment follows a restructure that saw the departure of seven employ- ees across the group, including former Gold Coast COO David Collins as the airport group moved to better align its business with strategic priorities. Charlton has been with Gold Coast air- port for 11 years, and oversaw the most recent airport terminal expansion which was completed in 2010. # Nicki Press has joined New Zealand’s Christchurch & Canterbury Convention Bureau, as coordinator. # Diane Chen has been appointed Shen- yang New World EXPO’s deputy general manager. EXPO is a part of a massive multi-use complex located in Shenyang on the Hunhe River, China adjacent to the city’s Golden Corridor which runs through the Liaoning provincial capital’s CBD. Opening in the spring of 2017 with 24,000 square metres of exhibition space, 4,000 sqm of multi-functional convention, meeting and banquet space, the facility will be Northeast China’s newest venue. Chen holds a bachelor’s degree in law and a master degree in business strategy management. She is also a member of the International Association of Venue Managers. # Sarah Stacey has been promoted to the new position of marketing and com- munications director for New Zealand’s Destination Queenstown (DQ). Stacey has been with DQ for two years as communications manager. Prior to her appointment at DQ, she held senior mar- keting and communications management roles with Good Group Ltd, Millbrook Resort and Skycity Queenstown. In her new role, she will pilot the direction of DQ’s consumer marketing projects, as well as leading the organisa- tion’s communications. She will be responsible for the manage- ment of the marketing team and ensuring that all marketing activity is in line with the organisation’s strategic plan. A new brand and marketing manager will be recruited shortly. DQ’s current media team comprises executive Robyn Columbus, communica- tions executive Jessica Harkins, campaign marketing executive Vanessa Hartnell and online and market insights executive Seb McKinnon.
