Deputy of Foreign Tourism Marketing Development, professor I Gde Pitana said: “The minister of Culture and Tour- ism wants BBTF to be held annually and give overseas sellers an opportunity to participate in the event.” Three days were allocated to pre-scheduled appointments between buyers and sellers, with the last day open to the public. “In terms of quality buyers, BBTF 2015 has exceeded all expectations. Buyers were keen to do business,” said Girda Safitri, marketing manager of Flores Destination Management. “The business sessions have been great and most beneficial and I’ve got some really good information on prod- ucts outside Bali that I am going to be putting in for side trips,” said Ian Garritt, director of Venture Holidays Australia. “Everything was well organised. It’s been a good experience for me and I have gathered information about Bali. I have also gained valuable details about Lombok and my agency is really keen to explore the island and its attributes,” said Grace Ballon of Ritz and Grace Travel in Manila. Bali & Beyond Travel Fair (BBTF) is an annual travel and tourism expo hosted each June to coincide with the Bali Arts Festival. In addition to B2B and B2C ses- sions, the program of activities for delegates makes it the most compre- hensive B2B travel and tourism event in Southeast Asia.
