The exhibition that is run in tandem with the conference has reached its maxi- mum number of exhibitors at 60. The PCO Association annual confer- ence will be held at the Adelaide Conven- tion Centre 29 November to 01 Decem- ber 2015. Sydney exhibition ‘looks good’ Meanwhile, Meetings and Events Aus- tralia chief Linda Gaunt is quietly confi- dent about MEA’s inaugural stand-alone meetings and events exhibition in Sydney in September. “We have had strong vocal support and interest from the get go,” said Gaunt, “now it just needs that support to turn into attendance and participation. “Our original target was for 80 booths; and we will achieve budget, with 80-100 booths signing on for the show so far. “We are not out to recreate Inspire EX (a previous Sydney events show that folded last year), our aim is to present an informative market update in product and training that reflects the dynamism of Sydney’s meetings and events industry. “The innovation section has been par- ticularly popular with many companies telling us they have exciting develop- ments for show attendees. “Our emphasis has been to keep costs manageable for exhibitors. Exhibition booths are A$3500 for the two day show. “Our main driver now is to encourage the corporate market to take advantage of the show by attending and participat- ing in the free training sessions offered. We have had several meetings with key buyer groups to ensure that we are delivering the kind of show that meets their objectives. We also recently signed a partnership deal with Executive PA magazine and expect that move to have a positive impact on attendance. The show is free to attend. MEA’s trade show is on 01 -02 Septem- ber at the Royal Randwick Racecourse new exhibition centre in Sydney.
