Muška was previously with AIMS In- ternational and AIM Group International in finance, sales and project manage- ment. He was the country manager of the Prague branch of the AIM Group International. Muška assumes the position of managing director with the objective of meeting the PCB’s long-term strategic plans of attracting a larger number of in- ternational meetings to Prague, building a positive image of Prague as an attrac- tive convention destination abroad, and raising awareness about the congress industry and its economic and non-eco - nomic impact in the Czech Republic. # Jo Finnigan has been promoted to general manager of Queenstown’s Hotel St Moritz, replacing lynne McVicar, who has left after 18 years at the prop- erty. Finnigan steps into the role after hav- ing spent the last 16 years as director of Sales, Distribution and Marketing there. McVicar resigned following a life-changing year in 2015 dealing with and overcoming breast cancer. In her absence Finnigan was acting general manager. McVicar now is embarking on a new journey, working with St Moritz owner and original developer Graham Wilkin- son, who built the property in 1998. She will work on Wilkinson’s portfolio of hotel and retirement village assets. # InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has appointed Yvette peverell to the role of director of communications - Australasia & Japan. She previously worked for Accor Asia Pacific and most recently for Mantra Group, overseeing both internal and external communications. Peverell joins chief operating officer Karin Sheppard’s leadership team as the region’s senior communications counsel based at the Sydney office. IHG will launch its Holiday Inn Express brand in Australia in April with the open- ing of the brand new Holiday Inn Ex- press Sydney Macquarie Park, part of a 15-hotel partnership with Pro Invest, with other openings to follow in Brisbane and Adelaide in the next 12 to 18 months. Further additions to IHG’s luxury Inter- Continental brand are slated for Perth in 2017 and for the Crowne Plaza brand, new properties in Sydney and Hobart in 2018. # amelia roziman has been named general manager, marketing and sales for the Sarawak Convention Bureau (SCB). Roziman is responsible for managing the Marketing, Sales, Bids and Communi- cations departments. She previously was global marketing and communications director for SCB.
